The Geneva Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs participated in the 18th Forum on Minority Issues, held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on 27–28 November 2025.

This year’s Forum focused on addressing barriers to peaceful coexistence, recognizing the full contributions of minorities to society, and amplifying minority voices in peacebuilding, accountability, and transitional justice processes.

Established by the UN Human Rights Council in 2007, the Forum on Minority Issues serves as a key platform for dialogue and cooperation on the rights of national or ethnic, religious, and linguistic minorities, and contributes to the work of the Special Rapporteur on minority issues.
