GIHR CONCLUDING STATEMENT ON THE THIRD RSF TRAINING COURSE

Your Excellency Lieutenant-General Abdel Rahim Hamdan Dagalo - second commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Human Rights and Child Rights Unit, Executive Director of the Human Rights and Child Protection Unit, honourable representatives of the United Nations, international, regional and national organizations, officers participating in the third training course, and honorable attendees, it gives me great pleasure to address you today as we conclude the implementation of the project to build the capacities of the Rapid Support Forces in accordance with international human rights standards.

First and foremost, I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation to the leadership of the rapid support forces, which allowed us to overcome all possible hindrances in the creation of an environment for the effective implementation of the aforementioned project, through three training courses in the State of Khartoum.

Similarly, I extend our appreciation to the fellow trainees who demonstrated great commitment and willingness in consolidating the values and principles of human rights.

Furthermore, allow me to congratulate the Rapid Support Command on the opening of the headquarters of the Human Rights and Child Protection Unit. The Institute affirms it’s support of the unit so that it can perform its tasks in the most efficient and effective manner.
