CONCLUSION OF THE THIRD TRAINING COURSE TARGETING THE SUDANESE RAPID SUPPORT FORCE (RSF)

On the 3rd of October, the Geneva Institute for Human Rights concluded the third training session focused on enhancing the capacities of the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces in the field of human rights.
Director of the Human Rights and Child Protection Unit within the RSF, Dr. Hassib Jonathan Hammad Koko, described the project's launch as historic, further stating that the RSF are committed to the Charter of the United Nations Charter, particularly in regards to the maintenance of peace and security and the protection of fundamental freedoms and human rights.
Lieutenant-General Abdel Rahim praised the role and efforts of the Geneva Institute towards the enhancement of the RSF capacities in the domain of human rights, stressing on it’s necessity to achieve Sudan’s aspiration in promoting a strong culture of human rights within the country
Finally, the Executive Director of the Geneva Institute, Nazar Abdelgadir, stressed that the training courses contributes positively to the effective integration of a human right’s approach within the work of the RSF, especially concerning the protection of civilians.
