The Geneva Institute for Human Rights provides in-house training courses, workshops, conference sessions and seminars to raise awareness on human rights, and it offers other forms of specialized, professional education for a wide range of organisations in the public and voluntary sector. Clients include police forces from different countries in the Arab region, judges, lawyers, diplomats, social service departments, human rights governmental and non-governmental organisations as well as national institutions.

What we do

Since the foundation of GIHR in 2004, the Institute has offered seminars, lectures and national as well as international
programs with the intention to contribute to the protection of human rights and to a spread of knowledge regarding human rights. The founders’ initial aim of promoting the principles of international human rights has lead to numerous projects being devised and carried out (see Activities).
