The sixth session of the task force will focus on the implementation of the recommendations of the Working Group on the Right to Development, endorsed by the Human Rights Council in resolution 12/23. As part of the process of refining the right to development criteria, the task force will continue its mandated work in relation to Millennium Development Goal 8, target E on access to essential medicines, target F on technology transfer and targets B and D on debt relief. The task force will also consolidate its findings, consider a revised list of right-to-development criteria along with corresponding operational sub-criteria and formulate suggestions for further work. The outcome of the session will be submitted for consideration by the Working Group at its next session scheduled for April 2010.
