Thank you for your interest in our Institute and our activities. Applicants for the Internship Programme of the GIHR should have an excellent knowledge of French, English or the Arabic language and be available for a period of three to six months. Candidates are requested to provide the Institute with a letter of recommendation from a University, academic foundation or a well-known Non-Governmental-Organisation connected to Human Rights. Please note that the Geneva Institute for Human Rights has no provision in its budget to pay interns or to refund any other financial reimbursements, living expenses or accommodation costs. These fall on the responsibility of the intern. Further, GIHR accepts no responsibility for costs that may arise due to accidents or illness during the time of the internship. Thus, interns will have to provide proof of their enrolment in a health insurance scheme.
Applicants should be well-organised, self-motivated and reliable and should display a strong interest in international human rights. Relevant course work is highly desirable and knowledge of Arabic languages is a plus. Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office, Internet applications) are required.
Please apply by e-mailing your CV, a letter of interest, and a letter of reference to the Geneva Institute for Human rights: info [at] gihr [dot] org. Please use “Internship Application” as the subject of your e-mail and please note that only complete applications will be reviewed. Thank you very much for your interest in GIHR.
