Workshops & Seminars


GIHR organises workshops and seminars to promote human rights and to provide a platform for discussion on various topics. Its goal is to enable the participants to deepen their knowledge about human rights as well as to develop skills to make effective use of human rights procedures.


Previous workshops and seminars were held on a broad range of topics, such as

  • New Human Rights Conventions
  • Women’s Rights in Islam
  • Special regional issues
  • The International Criminal Court
  • Violence against women in Africa
  • The United Nations protection system of human rights
  • Children’s rights in Africa
  • and many more.

The Institute also co-organises seminars in cooperation with universities and different institutions.

Duration 

The duration varies according to place and topic. Usually it ranges from one to two days.
